This poor 1 year old dog was found with the piece of twine you see above cutting into his neck completely around his neck, almost cutting into the trachea. He is healing just fine now and is looking for a caring family to be with.

I believe he is a Shepard mix. If you have any information on the dog please contact the Animal Shelter.

This is the type of cruelty that the Animal Control has to deal with all the time. When you donate, the money goes to help these animals.

Please people ONLY use dog collars for dogs and cat collars for cats. Constantly check to make sure that the collar is not tight or to loose.

update 5/1/02- The SPCA of Las Vegas came and got this puppy. He is doing fine the last we heard!

This Puppy was picked up by Animal Control, taken to the veterinarians where they removed a coated wire hanger that someone had used as a collar for this dog and as the animal grew they didn't remove the collar. The dog is doing better he had to have stitches. He is only 5 months old!
